The holidays are coming up quickly, and we want them to be
easy, enjoyable and stress-free. The
best way to achieve this is by thinking ahead and planning and preparing in
advance. Some suggestions:
Stock
up
Holiday get-togethers are often spontaneous. Stock up on
toiletries for unexpected guests and store plenty of food in the freezer for a
last-minute meal. Don’t forget a freezer-ready dessert to really impress your
guests!
Gifts
With children and grandchildren growing older, families are
growing larger. It’s understandable to forget a stocking-stuffer for a remote
cousin or a rarely seen great aunt! So, stock up on affordable unisex gifts,
just in case there’s a last minute visitor-- and while you’re at it pick up a
few extra gift bags.
Clean
There are few worse combinations than unexpected guests and
a messy house. Try keeping things reasonably clean throughout the holidays.
Check the house daily for clutter, laundry, random objects on the floor and dishes
in the sink. Keeping things tidy will help tremendously when that knock comes
on your door.
These basic tips will help
you to relax and enjoy the season!
