Natural Summer Makeup

Summer makeup has its unique problems.. With the hot weather, going to the pool or beach, and all those bugs, it seems nearly impossible to keep makeup fresh and natural looking. Here are six suggestions that will help you achieve a natural sun-kissed summer look.

1.Start with moisturizer:

Start with a fresh clean face, then use a good moisturizer to plump and hydrate the skin; this will facilitate makeup application and help to achieve a more natural look.   To combat those UV rays, use a moisturizer containing SPF.

2. Tinted Moisturizer:

A great way to even out your skin tone and still maintain light coverage is by using a tinted moisturizer. Look for a product with SFP for additional protection along with hydration.

3. Highlighter:

This makeup product brings light to your face, giving you a subtle glow in sunlight. Using highlighter on your entire face could give an oily appearance. Start by applying to the high points of your cheekbones, down the center of your nose and on the center of your forehead. This will allow light to hit your face in the right places, giving you a refreshed and dewy look.

4. Bronzer:

Bronzer is a summer essential, bringing warmth and dimension to your face and making you appear slightly more tanned than you actually are. Another great thing about bronzer is that, when placed correctly, it can enhance your facial structure.  Apply bronzer beneath your cheekbones to make them stand out.  Draw a straight line of bronzer on each side of your nose, and. apply a little bit to your temples to perfect your look.

5. Waterproof Mascara:

Another “must-have” for a natural summer makeup look is mascara, particularly a waterproof type..  Mascara opens up your eyes, making you appear more alert, and livens up your face. Waterproof mascara is recommended during warm months because it is far less likely to smudge or smear. We also recommend curling your lashes before applying mascara; wait for the first coat to dry, and then -apply two more coats.

6. Lip Balm:

Delicate lip tissue sunburns easily, so to keep your lips plump and hydrated try using a tinted lip balm containing an SPF.   You’ll give your lips some color while preventing dryness and flakiness.

Stay gorgeous this summer with these easy “no makeup” tips!
