Vacation Travel: Five Top Tips

Sometimes traveling can be much more hectic and chaotic than anticipated, and finding ways to deal with our vacation stress can be difficult. Here are five vacation tips that will help you relax and get into vacation mode!

1. Take pictures and get into the moment:

Remember, the entire idea behind taking your vacation is to enjoy it, and the best way to achieve this  s to actually be “in the moment”. Bring that camera with you,, enjoy sightseeing, and take photos so  you can look back and remember the highlights of your trip. Also—there’s no need to be posting on social media every second of the day!

2. Plan Ahead:

To help reduce  stress while traveling, always plan in advance. List your priorities and design a realistic timeline to   help you stay organized.

3. Pack lightly; bring clothes you like wearing;:

Deciding what to bring on a trip is not always as simple as it should be. Over-packing happens naturally so you need to be aware of it and avoid it,. About a week before your trip, lay out everything you’re planning to bring along, and  from there make a list. Look critically at your list and really start to remove things you don’t need. After that, categorize your clothing. Trust us, wearing the same outfit a few times during a vacation isn’t a crime, and including favorite (and comfortable) wardrobe items will give you confidence during your travels

4. Stay hydrated on the plane:

Another thing to remember when traveling is to stay hydrated, especially when flying. Keep your hands hydrated by using our Herbacin Kamille hand cream.  Hydrate the areas under your eyes with Herbacin eye cream, Use both products periodically during your flight, and.remember to drink water frequently.

5. Do Yoga and Meditate:

Traveling can create anxiety,  so staying calm .can be challenging.  Ease your stress with yoga, stretching or meditation. Some airports offer space for travelers to practice yoga-- mats included!

Try these tips, and let us know if they help! Happy travels!

Natural Summer Makeup

Summer makeup has its unique problems.. With the hot weather, going to the pool or beach, and all those bugs, it seems nearly impossible to keep makeup fresh and natural looking. Here are six suggestions that will help you achieve a natural sun-kissed summer look.

1.Start with moisturizer:

Start with a fresh clean face, then use a good moisturizer to plump and hydrate the skin; this will facilitate makeup application and help to achieve a more natural look.   To combat those UV rays, use a moisturizer containing SPF.

2. Tinted Moisturizer:

A great way to even out your skin tone and still maintain light coverage is by using a tinted moisturizer. Look for a product with SFP for additional protection along with hydration.

3. Highlighter:

This makeup product brings light to your face, giving you a subtle glow in sunlight. Using highlighter on your entire face could give an oily appearance. Start by applying to the high points of your cheekbones, down the center of your nose and on the center of your forehead. This will allow light to hit your face in the right places, giving you a refreshed and dewy look.

4. Bronzer:

Bronzer is a summer essential, bringing warmth and dimension to your face and making you appear slightly more tanned than you actually are. Another great thing about bronzer is that, when placed correctly, it can enhance your facial structure.  Apply bronzer beneath your cheekbones to make them stand out.  Draw a straight line of bronzer on each side of your nose, and. apply a little bit to your temples to perfect your look.

5. Waterproof Mascara:

Another “must-have” for a natural summer makeup look is mascara, particularly a waterproof type..  Mascara opens up your eyes, making you appear more alert, and livens up your face. Waterproof mascara is recommended during warm months because it is far less likely to smudge or smear. We also recommend curling your lashes before applying mascara; wait for the first coat to dry, and then -apply two more coats.

6. Lip Balm:

Delicate lip tissue sunburns easily, so to keep your lips plump and hydrated try using a tinted lip balm containing an SPF.   You’ll give your lips some color while preventing dryness and flakiness.

Stay gorgeous this summer with these easy “no makeup” tips!

Get your feet beach-ready

Sandals, flip-flops, open-toed heels…what do you enjoy wearing in summer?

While our personal styles are important to us, we also want comfortable footwear that allows our feet to feel fresh and cool.  So, when choosing new summer shoes bear these three factors in mind:  comfort, coolness and style.

The most essential element of summer sandal season is the appearance of our feet. Who wants to show off dry, callused heels and toes? Follow these simple steps to get your feet ready for summer.

1.Exfoliate
As with facial skin, feet produce dead skin cells that need periodic removal. Exfoliating rids  your feet of  dry, patchy spots and leaves them looking and feeling fresh and renewed! Buff and nourish your toes using our Foot Peeling Scrub with Himalayan ash and almond oil.

2.Dryness
Walking around with feet exposed to saltwater, sand, hot air and hot surfaces can cause drying and cracking.. Prevent these problems by keeping your feet well moisturized. Try an oil-based foot lotion such as Herbacin’s Foot Cream with almond and avocado oil to lock moisture into those dry spots!

3.Calluses

One unfortunate side effect of wearing sandals and flip-flops through the summer are the resulting calluses.  The remedy? .  First, soak your feet in warm water to soften the skin, then use a pumice stone to scrub away those pesky hard spots.. Be gentle, and if the scrubbing hurts … stop! After scrubbing, remember to lather your feet with a nourishing foot cream to replenish natural oils.
